Howdy Carters Everywhere! I am currently working on an application to join the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR), and on the Carter side have two patriots listed with the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR): Ichabod Morton, ID No. 128591, and Bachelor Bennet, ID No. 146704. Both entries were made by my GGM, Mrs. Mary A. Sawyer Carter, DAR Member No. 160587. The entries, with brief ancestry information, are in DAR Lineage Book Vol. 161 (1920), pgs. 187-88.

If any Richard Carter/Cater descendants have known ancestors who fought in the American Revolution, and are listed in either the SAR or DAR lineage books, I would love to hear from you. Sincerely, Anthony Wood (fka Wormwood) Carter.
