Charles Carter

The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is a lineage-based membership service organization for women who are directly descended from a person involved in the United States’ struggle for independence. A non-profit group, they promote education and patriotism.

Any woman 18 years or older who can prove lineal, bloodline descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence is eligible to join the DAR. She must provide documentation for each statement of birth, marriage and death, as well as of the Revolutionary War service of her Patriot ancestor.

The Carter Book

Our new blog “The Carterville Journal” is now up and running.

This blog is intended to disseminate information, as well as a means of posting or asking questions regarding our family history, genealogy, book, website, etc.

Improvements and additions will appear as time goes by in order to make our blog as functional as possible in support of the Carterville USA website.

You may view The Carterville Journal without logging in, but in order to make posts or comments you must be logged in.
